11 Arrested For Craigslist For Escort Service:

In Waukesha, Wisconsin they had a big Harley celebration this past week. craigslist hookers in the area decided to take matters into their own hands and advertise themselves specifically for the Harley bash.

“A lot of the invitations had direct reference to the Harley events that were going on right now, along with provocative pictures that had been posted on there,” Waukesha Police Captain Mark Stigler said.

Because of those pictures Waukesha police were able to arrest 11 unlicensed escorts.

Previously this year the city passed an ordinance banning unlicensed escorts. I’m going to imagine the city is pretty stingy handing out the licenses.

Familiar face applies for escort license:
You all renmember Tonya Karimi don’t you? She was the woman from Hartland, Wi that was arretsed on, what else, prostitution charges and was one of the first stories I posted here at CCL.

It seems she’s trying to become a “legitimate businesswoman”. I use the quotes because seriously, how legitimate are escort services anyway? Ms. Karimi has applied for an escort’s license in the city of Pewaukee, WI and she’s the first person to do so.

City of Pewaukee police have reviewed her application and conducted a required background check. If approved, Karimi would have to present her escort license if requested by officers and any situation where she was working as an escort in the city must remain inside legal boundaries of the ordinance.

Here’s the part I don’t get…

Karimi paid the $250 application fee and will be reviewed by the council, which was notified along with city police and fire chiefs and the building inspector’s department, according to the 20-page escort and escort service license application from the city.

Why in the hell do the fire chief and building inspector’s department have to be notified? In case they need a date?

No word yet on whether she’ll advertise on craigslist again.

Hartland woman arrested for prostitution:
Un unnamed 31-year-old woman from Hartland, WI was arrested for prostitution after offering sex for money to an undercover cop.

Hartland police were tipped off to the woman’s alleged prostitution after a detective with the Oconomowoc Police Department discovered an ad for the woman’s services on the Milwaukee branch of Craigslist, a popular local classified Web site, said Detective Adam Mueller with the Hartland Police Department. The ad allegedly offered hourly and half-hour rates for “peer pleasure” from a “real and serious” provider, Mueller said.

Here’s the part I don’t get.

The Hartland woman has not been charged with a crime and the case is under review by Waukesha County Assistant District Attorney Lesli Boese.

They must be really bored in Hartland to review a case like this for that long.

UPDATE: It turns out her name is Tonya M. Karimi and this isn’t her first brush with the law on these charges.
