Man Pleads Not Guilty In Woman’s Death:

19-year-old David Sparre of Jacksonville, Florida is just one in a series (collect the whole set) of alleged ‘craigslist killers’. He’s accused in the July 12th stabbing murder of 21-year-old Tiara Pool. The pair met through craigslist’s personals. I originally posted about the murder here and here.

Still no motive in the brutal murder of the mother of two however prosecutors say they are seeking the death penalty.

One of these days I’ll take the 15 minutes to number all the craigslist killers that I know about.

Police: Mother met killer on Craigslist:

21-year-old Tiara Pool is the woman that Jacksonville, Florida police say was stabbed to death by 19-year-old David Sparre after meeting him on craigslist.

There’s been some more details released about Ms. Pool which makes the story even more tragic.

Ms. Pool was a mother of two children and was going to college. While she was married her marriage was trouble. Unfortunately she made the fatal mistake of using craigslist to try and meet someone new.

As you can see I posted a picture of Ms. Pool which I normally don’t do. I did that because I wanted to show you one of the reasons as to why Ms. Pool’s murder has not cracked the national media.

The two reasons are, in no particular order, is that Ms. Pool is black and that this happened in the South. If Ms. Pool was white and this murder took place in the media-centric Northeast this would be a bigger story.

Hopefully with sites like mine and others the word can be spread of the dangers like this that lurk on craigslist and that victims like Ms. Pool will not be forgotten.

Teen Arrested In Woman’s Slaying:

19-year-old David Kelsey Sparre of Georgia has been arrested in the July 12th murder of 21-year-old Tiara Pool.

The pair are said to have met through the craigslist personals after Ms. Pool placed an ad. Ms. Pool was found dead in her apartment of multiple stab wounds.

Sparre was arrested in South Carolina where he was staying with family. He allegedly admitted to stabbing Ms. Pool but so far no motive has been given.

Police say that Ms. Pool was married but her husband was on active duty with the Navy.

I have yet to finds what section of craigslist the ad was posted in but since Ms. Pool was married I’m going to assume casual encounters.

In case you needed yet another reason not to hook up anonymously on craigslist this should be your wake up call if you haven’t gotten the other multiple wake up calls.

I also wonder if this story will crack the national media since it didn’t happen in New York or Boston.
