Inmate charged in murder-for-hire attempt:

I originally posted about Matthew P. Lallis here. Back in 2010 in Groton, Connecticut Lallis was busted for allegedly pimping out a 15-year-old girl on craigslist. He’s also accused of having sex (child rape) with the girl and making her tell people she was 16 as that’s the age of consent in CT.

As if that wasn’t enough now he’s in even more trouble for allegedly trying to have witness killed so they wouldn’t testify against him. Authorities in Connecticut say that Lallis tried to have the witness killed while he’s in jail awaiting trial on the child prostitution charges. He’s now been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.

To me that’s an admission of guilt on the child prostitution charges. Oh well, whatever keeps this scumbag in jail longer.

Thomas Napolitano

Police: Tolland Man, Teen Advertised Prostitution Services on Craigslist:

Man, teen netted in prostitution sting:

Batboy over there is 25-year-old Thomas Napolitano of Tolland, Connecticut. He was arrested in Coventry, Conn. for allegedly prostituting a 17-year-old girl on craigslist.

But Trench, I hear you say, how is that possible since craigslist got rid of adult/erotic services worldwide? That’s because Napolitano allegedly posted 46 ads in the casual encounters section of craigslist. You know, the unmoderated and still free section of craigslist.

Again I call on craigslist to either moderate the casual encounters section or get rid of it all together because the community policing is obviously not working.

Man, seeking sex via Craigslist ad, busted on prostitution, drug charges:

Just because adult services may be gone doesn’t mean that crime is gone from craigslist. Take 29-year-old Casey Curtiss of Bridgeport, Conn. for example. He placed an ad on craigslist that police say was offering ecstasy pills in exchange for sex.

According to the police report, the ad was seen by Westport Det. Jillian Cabana on Sept. 1. It read: “Rolling tonight, would love a lady friend or friends if you have them and they want to ROLL with all expenses paid!!!! If ur interested email a pic. Will bring you to ectasy and back!!!!”

Female undercover officers met with Curtiss and arrested him when he allegedly produced the pills. Curtiss claims he was just looking to have a good time obviously forgetting that ecstasy is still illegal. He’s been charged with two counts of patronizing a prostitute, possession of a controlled substance and sale of a narcotic.

Apparently all that rolling must have deteriorated his brain for him not to realize that police read craigslist too.

AGs Call for End of Craigslist Adult Services:

Attorneys general target Craigslist:

Missouri AG Chris Koster joins other attorneys general asking Craigslist to remove adult ads:

Ohio AG: Craigslist should drop adult services:

Tennessee AG joins in call on Craigslist to eliminate adult services section:

AGs demand Craigslist drop adult services section:

Gansler among 17 state AGs calling for Craigslist to drop adult services:

Kansas AG Asks Craigslist To Remove Adult Ads:

In case you couldn’t tell this is big news.

18 U.S. State Attorneys General have called for craigslist to shut down the adult services section. Among those are Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Martha Coakley of Massachusetts, Chris Koster of Missouri, Richard Cordray of Ohio, Bob Cooper of Tennessee, Dustin McDaniel of Arkansas, Douglas F. Gansler of Maryland, and Steve Six of Kansas. Not mentioned are the AGs from Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.

Of course craigslist was quick to pay lip service to the AGs…

Craigslist supports states’ efforts to stop illegal exploitation, spokeswoman Susan MacTavish Best said in a statement that did not indicate whether the website plans to get rid of its adult services section.

Of course they have no intention of getting rid of adult services. Craigslist has a history of flying in the face of common decency.

While this is a big piece of news there’s something missing. It’s easy for these attorneys general to call for craigslist to shut down adult services. There’s only one attorney general who if he put his name behind this movement would have a huge impact. I am of course referring to former governor, former mayor of Oakland, current gubernatorial candidate and current attorney general of California…

Jerry Brown

Attorney General Brown, we may be politically opposed in some of our views but for a man who cares about the environment and opposes the death penalty I would imagine that you would be opposed to the trafficking of women and children that is being facilitated by craigslist.

Craigslist is headquartered in your home state. In my opinion craigslist’s shameful record when it comes to prostitution, child prostitution and human trafficking is a black eye for the Golden State. If I can’t appeal to your heart I will appeal to your aspirations. How much of a huge political coup would it be in your current gubernatorial race if you got the biggest facilitator of human trafficking in the country to get that section of the website shut down?

Mr. Brown, I beg of you to add your name to that of the other state attorney’s general in asking craigslist to shut down the adult services section. Maybe they will listen to you.

Don’t forget, while craigslist is dragging its feet Geebo.com has been human trafficking free since its inception.

Teen says men pimped her out on Craigslist:

Police in Groton, Conn, have charged 28-year-old Matthew P. Lallis with child prostitution after a 15-year-old runaway accused him of pimping her out on craigslist.

Lallis, like most predators, is trying to deflect the blame on to the victim by allegedly claiming that the girl came to him wanting help in becoming a hooker. However reports say that Lallis was the one who placed the craigslist ads for her and instructed her to tell johns that she was 16 which is the Conn. age of consent. Even though that is the AoC you are considered a child prostitute until you are 17 under Conn. law.

Yet again to flog the deceased equine where was the screening by craigslist to stop these ads from seeing the light of day if it was in the adult services section? Where was the community policing if it was posted in the casual encounters section? I’ll tell you where they were. No where. They don’t work and the fact that craigslist considers these a feature is a joke.

But since the ads provide such a nice little profit to craigslist they’ll continue to pay lip service to law enforcement and the American people.
