L.A. County man robbed in craigslist iPhone deal

Man robbed in Temple City while trying to buy iPhone via Craigslist:

A man was robbed at gunpoint in a craigslist deal gone bad in Temple City, California. The victim met his assailant behind a Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s for those of west of the Mississippi, where he thought he would be buying an iPhone. Instead he was robbed at gunpoint and the gunman is still at large.

The gunman was described as an Asian man of about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 160 pounds. He had black hair, brown eyes and wore a red jacket.

Again when doing business through a classifieds site meeting in a public place isn’t enough anymore. As I’ve mentioned before the best place to meet some one is ion front of a police station. If they balk at the meeting then they’re shady to begin with.

Another craigslist armed robbery in Dayton that ends in gunfire

Craigslist Sale Ends In Gunfire:

Another craigslist armed robbery has happened in Dayton, Ohio. This time police arrested Christopher Harvey and Devin Ward for allegedly robbing two men at gunpoint who thought they were buying a motorcycle and a car engine.

The victims followed Harvey and Ward who are said to have fired upon the victims. Luckily the victims were not hit.

Back in December a man was shot in the face during a craigslist robbery in Dayton.

Last week I posted about the man from Trotwood, Ohio who was shot in the jaw while trying to sell his dirt bike off of craigslist. Police investigating the shooting have arrested one 19-year-old Keron Simpson for the shooting.

Man shot in face during craigslist robbery

Craigslist robbery victim recovering from bullet in jaw:

You know I’ve been spending so much time on the human trafficking aspect of craigslist I guess I should remind you of some of the other dangerous aspects of craigslist, such as armed robbery or getting shot in the face.

That’s exactly what happened to one man from Trotwood, Ohio who was selling a dirt bike on craigslist. The victim and woman met two men when one of the men shot the seller in the jaw and ran off with the dirt bike. Luckily the victim’s injuries are non-life threatening.

Police in the area say there have been a rash crimes related to dirt bikes, motorcycles and ATVs that are craigslist related.

3 more women come forward in Brockton craigslist robberies

Brockton police: fifth woman has come forward in Craigslist case:

I originally posted about Luther Mark Henderson here. He’s the man from Brockton, Mass. accused of robbing two craigslist escorts at gunpoint. Now three more women have come forward saying the same thing had happened to them.

The sad part is that the police can’t confirm yet if the latest 3 were arrested by Henderson yet. Which means there could be more women who have had ads placed on craigslist getting possibly robbed at gunpoint by other men. As I mentioned before a lot of prostitutes don’t even get to keep the money they make as it’s taken by their pimps or traffickers.

Yet craigslist still insists that the adult services section causes no harm.

Third woman charged in Craigslist ad attempted robbery:

I originally posted about the Bullock sisters who were arrested for an attempted robbery in Wendell, North Carolina here. Now a third suspect has been arrested and she is 32-year-old Sherie Brooks.

Brooks has a criminal record going back 13 years.

Mass. man arrested for robbing craigslist escorts

Brockton man accused of making Craigslist escorts strip naked at gunpoint before robbing them:

Police in Brockton, Mass. have arrested 35-year-old Luther Mark Henderson for allegedly robbing escorts that advertised on craigslist. He’s accused of forcing them to strip down and robbing them at gunpoint.

The insular Boston media likens Henderson’s MO to that of the recently deceased Philip Markoff. What they fail to mention is that Markoff did not invent robbing craigslist escorts. This has been going on at least as long as I’ve been doing this blog.

The worst part is that these women that are forced to work on craigslist usually do not even have money of their own. They usually have to give all their money to their pimps or traffickers. I wonder how many women and girls have been beaten or worse by their pimps after they’ve been robbed.

Sisters arrested for craigslist robbery

Raleigh man’s craigslist deal no bargain when bullets fly:

28-year-old Sherida Quanette Bullock and 21-year-old Acqua Bullock, both of Wendell, North Carolina, were arrested for allegedly trying to rob a man who thought he was buying smart phones off of craigslist.

Shots were fired but luckily the victim was not injured.

Like I say, friends don’t let friends use Craigslist. But we need somewhere to go for classified ads. Personally, I recommend Geebo.com for a socially responsible alternative to community classifieds.

3 robbed in Milton after responding to Craigslist ad:

3 men from Rhode Island were robbed at gunpoint after responding to a craigslist ad from Milton, Mass. for a TV. The address they were sent to was a vacant apartment. One of the victims went inside alone where he was held at gun point by two men. The suspects then went and got the other two victims out of the car. All the victims were robbed of their cash and belongings and one was even beaten. The two suspects are still at large.

Considering one of the victims went into the apartment by himself leads me to believe that he thought doing business on craigslist is a safe experience when obviously it isn’t. As I’ve said before craigslist is the online hive of scum and villainy and you’d be surprised how many people are unaware of this.
