Man charged in Salt Lake as Internet pimp:

A 20-year-old unidentified Salt Lake City man has been charged with being a craigslist pimp and forcing a woman into prostitution.

In his defense the alleged pimp was sought out by another man to be his assistant pimp.

Assistant Pimp? Does that mean he wears a paper wide brimm hat with a name tag that says ‘Pimp Trainee’? Do a certain amount of hos need to feel the sting of your pimp hand before you can get promoted?

Craigslist is hotbed of online prostitution:

Actually this is a great article from the Knoxville News Sentinel that looks at craigslist prostitution from the police side and the side of the slimy pimps.

However the article mentions one thing that one former reader touched on before, the alleged disclaimers that craigslist pimps and hookers put on their ads.

Advertisements on Craigslist that feature suggestive language and photographs often also feature a disclaimer. Several on the Knoxville site read:

“Money exchanged is for my time and companionship services only. Anything else that may or may not occur is a matter of personal choice between two consenting adults of legal age and is not contracted for, nor is it requested to be contracted for any other matter.

“This is not an offer of prostitution and calling me constitutes acceptance of these terms.”

Of course police have the same opinion of them as I do…

“That’s baloney,” said Greg Norris of the Johnson City department, explaining that if a sex act occurs and money is exchanged, such statements about “matters of personal choice between two consenting adults” don’t hold up in court.

I hope our friend in the assless chaps is still reading.

Cops wrestle ‘mom-n-daughter tag team:

Ah Philadelphia. How I sometimes miss your white trashitude…but not really.

Philadelphia police arrested 38-year-old Traci Young and 22-year-old Tammi Smith. They’re a mother-daughter team of craigslist hookers. Their craigslist ad basically said that they were a package deal.

Neighbors complained not only about the noise and traffic coming in and out of their home but also for the fact that Smith’s three children, ages 7, 5 and 3, would run around outisde unsupervised.

Also arrested was 29-year-old David Riley, Young’s pim…I mean boyfriend. When cops stormed the house Riley hid in a crawlspace where either Young or Smith placed their four pitbulls. This would be the ultimate white trash story if they only lived in a trailer.

Speaking of the living quarters this is how police described it…

When Green entered the house - which had cable TV and a queen-size mattress covered in a comforter made by the tween brand Bratz and girlish pillowcases featuring princesses and monkeys - he was “taken aback.”

“I thought it was deplorable,” he said. “It was sick.”

And this is why I really love and miss Philadelphia sometimes…

Many neighbors applauded when the two women were escorted outside by police and in handcuffs.

Apparently the pair worked as strippers and when their club closed down they apparently turned to turning trick.

Young had a different take, telling TV reporters as she did the perp walk into the police van: “It’s a messed up world out there. We have to do this just to get by.”

Or you could have…oh I don’t know…gotten real jobs.

According to one of the comments left on the Daily news article one of them was wearing a tshirt at the time of their arrest that said “Where do you want it? The yapper, the snapper, or the crapper?”

The kids were taken from the home and placed with CPS. You wouldn’t consider them victims in all of this would you?

Police Arrest Woman Who Advertised Sex On Internet:

39-year-old Tammy Franco of East Hartford, CT was arrested after people complained that she was prostituting from her house. Her house happened to be around the block from the police department.

Police found 14 different craigslist ads that Franco allegedly posted. As a side note weren’t their new measures put in place to limit erotic service ads? I guess they’re not working as well as they claimed.

When Franco was arrested she claimed to have a serious drug problem and needed help. So she was hooking for drug money. That wouldn’t make her a *gasp* victim would it?

Everett man gets 26-year prison term for pimping:

Do you remember Washington state pimp Jerome Todd? He was the one who was pimping out women on craigslist so he could pay child support to 13 Children by 8 different mothers if my memory serves me correct.

Now he’s got 3 more dependents. A judge ordered him to pay $70K to the three women he was pimping out. Plus a pesky 26 years behind bars.

Pleasantville man found guilty of prostituting underage teen girls from Allentown, Pa. in Atlantic City:

27-year-old Kevin R. Mayfield of Pleasantville, NJ was convicted yesterday of pimping out minor girls on craigslist in Atlantic City.

Mayfield also took nude pictures of the girls to use on the craigslist ad.

Mayfield’s cohort was 25-year-old Casson L. Coward who pleaded guilty back in 2007 and was sentenced to 10 years for his part.

Again I say who says there’s no victims? Are two underage girls not victims enough for you?

Durham Police Arrest 24 In Prostitution & Drug Stings:

Police In Durham, NC have arrested 10 in a craigslist hooker sting. The 10 included johns and hookers.

The drug sting did not involve craigslist.

Dragged To Jail:

39-year-old Peter Abramczyk of Connecticut was busted by the Concord, NH police for being a craigslist hooker. In his ad Abramczyk claimed to be a ‘passable crossdresser’. You couldn’t tell by looking at the mugshot.

The Smoking Gun even has his craigslist ad. 6′ and 160 lbs. does not constitute passable.

Detectives: Prostitutes Paid Man to Post Ads on “Craigslist”:

58 year-old Henry Gardner of East Memphis, TN was arrested for posting ads on craigslist for various hookers in the area. Gardner was paid $50 a day by the hookers to post their ads to craigslist. Gardner has previous charges of promoting prostitution. And a crackhead was in his motel room.

7 arrests in sex sting:

Police in Henderson County, Tennessee arrested 7 in a craigslist hooker bust.

Those arrested include Vanessa McClain, 30; Amber McKenzie, 29; Keosha Jones, 21, and Shelatta Young, 22, all of Jackson. The women will be arraigned Sept. 30 in Henderson County General Sessions Court.

Also arrested were Donta Givans, 25, and Destiny Thomas, 21, of Memphis, and Teresa Blackburn, 38, of Lexington, according to the sheriff’s department. Those women also will appear in General Sessions Court on Sept. 30.

Take a look at their mugshots. Whatever they were charging it was too much.

I got some interesting e-mails and comments over the weekend about my stance that craigslist should eliminate it’s erotic services section. You’re right. I can’t say with 100% certainty whether or not your services are illegal or not without actually using your services, which I wouldn’t but that’s just my personal preference.

However if I were law enforcement in your community your ad would definitely draw my attention.

Buzzwords like Massage PLUS are a tip off. The fact that you posted the typical escort ‘this is not prostitution..blah blah blah, would lead me to believe that’s exactly what it is.Not to mention when you posted I AGREE that anything else that may or may not happen is a matter of personal choice and personal preference between two or more consenting adults of legal age and is not expected or included in the services provided for fee also leads me to believe you’re offering an illegal service. You know that argument never holds up in court right?

If your massages are so legitimate then why are they posted in the erotic services section? Do you have a professional massage license in your state? Have you ever been arrested for your ‘massages’?

The next I received as a comment on my post about Jon who was harrassed by the ‘hobbyists’ of the erotic services section for flagging ads…

If you go back and read that post you’ll notice that religion is never mentioned anywhere. It’s got nothing to do with religious morals but everything to do with prostitution being illegal. I’ll stop when one of two things happens, when prostitution is made legal in the other 49 states, or when craigslist eliminates the erotic services section.

First I’d recommend that you switch to the Firefox browser. It comes with a spell checker. Secondly I thought the objective of this site was pretty obvious. It says so in the tagline, “The craigslist crime blotter“. Do you know what a crime blotter is? A lot of local newspapers in the US have a section that’s called the police blotter which mentions calls that the police have had. That’s sort of what I do except all the crimes here deal with craigslist or other classified sites. And I have three basic solutions that I’ve mentioned repeatedly that would go a long way to reducing crime on craigslist. 1. Make users have a public profile on craigslist. 2. Eliminate the erotic services section. 3. Don’t do business on craigslist.

Hell, craigslist should be paying me a consulting fee.

Women charged with prostitution:

Two craigslist hookers were arrested on Long Island recently by the Nassau police.

They would be 35-year-old Claudia Andrade and 34-year-old Cheryl Sergeant. They were busted by the usual craigslist sting.

The Real Girlfriend Experience:

This is a great article from Micheal J. Mooney of The Broward-Palm Beach New Times. He basically arranged dates with craigslist hookers and interviewed them. But not ‘dates’, he took them on honest to God dates and did not have sex with them.

For women who maybe contemplating becoming an escort the article highlights just how sad and dangerous their lives are and it also shows how the girls can become dead inside.

For prospective johns it shows that these girls are actually human beings and not just your rental sex toys.

Norwalk police make Craigslist prostitution bust:

In Norwalk, Conn. 20-year-old Cheryl Magner from California and her pimp, 25-year-old Cesarin Perez of Long Island, were arrested on prostitution charges stemming from Magner’s craigslist ad.

Magner was charged with prostitution and Perez was charged with promoting prostitution, police said. Both face additional charges of conspiracy, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

If this is the same Cheryl Magner who was reported missing from California three years ago then she’s more than likely a victim.

Four Face Prostitution Charges After Incident In Newington:

This is a great story.

18-year-old Joshua Cordero hooked up with a 17-year-old girl he met on craigslist in a Newington, CT hotel. They have sex. Turns out the girl is a craigslist hooker. She demands money. He doesn’t have it. That’s when two other guys storm the room, beat up Cordero, and take his wallet. They tried making Cordero take money from an ATM but he escaped on his bike.

To add insult to injury Cordero was arrested after flagging down a cop. The 17-year-old hooker and her muscle, Bryan Van-Mil, 25, and Michael Patelli, 20, were also arrested on various drug, prostitution, and assault charges.

Cordero claims ignorance…

“I was just exploring,” Cordero said of his foray into craigslist sex. “I didn’t know how it was going to play out. … That was the first time I did that. And probably the last.”

Let me explain something to you son. Women don’t magically want to have sex on craigslist. But nice try.
