Man Pleads Not Guilty In Woman’s Death:
19-year-old David Sparre of Jacksonville, Florida is just one in a series (collect the whole set) of alleged ‘craigslist killers’. He’s accused in the July 12th stabbing murder of 21-year-old Tiara Pool. The pair met through craigslist’s personals. I originally posted about the murder here and here.
Still no motive in the brutal murder of the mother of two however prosecutors say they are seeking the death penalty.
One of these days I’ll take the 15 minutes to number all the craigslist killers that I know about.

POLICE: Thursday murder involved botched Craigslist motorcycle sale:
Your latest craigslist killer that isn’t Philip Markoff is allegedly 26-year-old Brandon Kent. He is accused in the shooting death of 26-year-old Thai Lam in Savannah, Georgia.
Lam was selling his motorcycle on craigslist and friends say he was meeting someone to sell it at the time he was shot. Police say that Kent was leaving on Lam’s bike just as they arrived. Police chased him to an apartment complex and spotted him trying to leave in an SUV.
He’s pleaded not guilty and held without bond.
But you won’t see this story either in the mainstream media since it happened in the south. Nope, no craigslist killings from the South or Midwest. Just from Boston and New York.

‘Craigslist Killer’ Philip Markoff Wrote Ex-Fiancee’s Name in Blood as He Killed Himself:
We now know how Philip Markoff was able to take the coward’s way out and boy did he have a flair for the dramatic.
Markoff took a pen that was filed down to a slashing tool and cut major arteries in his arms and legs. I guess that Grey’s Anatomy book was used for something else besides hiding his gun. Anyway he also wrapped the wounds in plastic from a plastic bag. He also stuffed toilet paper down his throat and put a plastic bag over his head. Officials say he did all this in order to make sure that medical staff would be unable to revive him. It seems that he really wanted to die. I bet he even went down the road.
But sometime in the middle of all this he was able to scrawl his fiancee’s name in blood. Also he committed suicide on what would have been their one year anniversary. You know, except for the fact that he was arrested for the robbery and murder of Julissa Brisman.
All I have to say is what a bitch. Markoff that is.
Julissa Brisman’s family have expressed their disappointment in Markoff’s suicide saying that he escaped justice. Not to be disrespectful but to them I would say that I believe that justice can be served after this life. I’m sure that Markoff is currently receiving more retribution than this world could possibly inflict.

Report: ‘Craigslist Killer’ Philip Markoff commits suicide in jail:
Fox 25 in Boston is reporting that Philip Markoff committed suicide in jail at 10:20 PM local time last night.
As I’m sure most of you know Markoff was the accused killer of craigslist masseuse Julissa Brisman.
No word yet on how Markoff saved money for the tax payers of Massachusetts.
I refuse to refer to Markoff as the ‘craigslist killer’ because there were craigslist killers before him and there have been craigslist killers after him.
UPDATE: Markoff’s defense attorney has confirmed Markoff’s death.

Police: Man Dead after Answering Craigslist Ad for ATV:
A man from Shelby Township, Michigan is dead after responding to a craigslist ad for an ATV.
The man and a friend went to a house in Detroit after responding to an ad for an ATV. The ‘seller’ said he needed a ride to get the keys. While in transit the ‘seller’ shot both men killing one.
The suspect is still at large and the victim has not yet been named.
One of these days I’m going to tally the body count that craigslist has left in its wake and have sort of a memorial.
Don’t forget to tell your friends that craigslist is not only dangerous but they do nothing to protect their users. Let them know about this site to show them that craigslist isn’t the trustworthy hippy commune that everyone thinks it is.
And since this happened in Murder City don’t expect to see this in the national media.

Police: Mother met killer on Craigslist:
21-year-old Tiara Pool is the woman that Jacksonville, Florida police say was stabbed to death by 19-year-old David Sparre after meeting him on craigslist.
There’s been some more details released about Ms. Pool which makes the story even more tragic.
Ms. Pool was a mother of two children and was going to college. While she was married her marriage was trouble. Unfortunately she made the fatal mistake of using craigslist to try and meet someone new.
As you can see I posted a picture of Ms. Pool which I normally don’t do. I did that because I wanted to show you one of the reasons as to why Ms. Pool’s murder has not cracked the national media.
The two reasons are, in no particular order, is that Ms. Pool is black and that this happened in the South. If Ms. Pool was white and this murder took place in the media-centric Northeast this would be a bigger story.
Hopefully with sites like mine and others the word can be spread of the dangers like this that lurk on craigslist and that victims like Ms. Pool will not be forgotten.

Georgia man charged in slaying of Jacksonville woman he met on craigslist:
Cops Catch CraigsList Killer:
Teen Arrested In Woman’s Slaying:
19-year-old David Kelsey Sparre of Georgia has been arrested in the July 12th murder of 21-year-old Tiara Pool.
The pair are said to have met through the craigslist personals after Ms. Pool placed an ad. Ms. Pool was found dead in her apartment of multiple stab wounds.
Sparre was arrested in South Carolina where he was staying with family. He allegedly admitted to stabbing Ms. Pool but so far no motive has been given.
Police say that Ms. Pool was married but her husband was on active duty with the Navy.
I have yet to finds what section of craigslist the ad was posted in but since Ms. Pool was married I’m going to assume casual encounters.
In case you needed yet another reason not to hook up anonymously on craigslist this should be your wake up call if you haven’t gotten the other multiple wake up calls.
I also wonder if this story will crack the national media since it didn’t happen in New York or Boston.

Father Speaks After Daughter Murdered:
I’ve recently posted about the stabbing murder of 19-year-old Sarah Weyrick of Houston, Texas before and how she had a craigslist ad in the casual encounters section about he she was having troubloe paying her bills and desperate times call for desperate measures.
And I hypothesized if the man charged with her murder, Phillip Erric Boldon, met her though the craigslist ad.
According to the article investigators say that Boldon knew Sarah met through mutual friends and had a brief relationship/ However I am not ready to call this a non-craigslist related crime just yet. There is the possibility that Boldon may have gotten jealous if he found out about the ad however that is merely speculation on my part.

Man arrested in stabbing death of teen:
Arrest made in Burlington woman’s death:
I originally posted about Sarah Weyrick here.
She was the 19-year-old woman from Houston, Texas who was found stabbed and her body was found in her partially burned out car. Prior to her death she had posted an ad on craigslist in the casual encounters section asking for money saying “Need help with a couple on bills — just two bills. Tough times call for drastic measures.”
31-year-old Phillip Erric Boldon has been arrested in connection with her murder. No word yet on how police came to arrest Boldon or if the craigslist ad is connected to Sarah Weyrick’s murder.

Accused Craigslist gunman taunts victim’s family in court:
The accused gunman who allegedly shot and killed James Sanders in a botched home invasion was said to have taunted the victim’s family in court on Wednesday.
Kiyoshi Higashi is said to have laughed and smirked at the Sanders family during his court appearance. It got so bad Higashi had to be removed from the courtroom. While he was being removed he hurled obscenities at James Sanders widow.
As you may recall the Sanders family advertised a diamond ring for sale on craigslist which led to Higashi and others to perform a home invasion of the Sanders household where James Sanders was shot and killed.
Washington State does have the death penalty. I hope they hand it down to Higashi to wipe that smirk off his face.
