Latoya Daunielle Tezino

Woman tries to sell dead mother’s Valium pills on Craigslist, police say:

I normally don’t like to talk about my personal life on this blog but I thought it would germane to this post.

After a long illness my mom recently passed away. In the last week of her life she was in a comatose state and under hospice care at home. The hospice provided us with what is known as a comfort pack. Basically it contained some seriously potent drugs that would help keep mom as comfortable as possible in her last days.

After mom passed my brother and I joked around that we could make some money by selling the leftovers from the comfort pack but it was just that, a joke. What we really did was dispose of the drugs as quickly as possible.

Apparently there are people who do hold on to the drugs after a family member passes. For example take 26-year-old Latoya Daunielle Tezino of Charlotte, North Carolina. She was recently arrested for allegedly attempting to sell 45 Valium pills, that belonged to her deceased mother, on craigslist.

Now after a family member dies there is often a financial burden on the family due to the cost of the funeral. If Tezino was trying to sell the pills to relieve some of that burden I might have taken a pass on that story, not that wopuld excuse her actions. However according to police she tried selling the pills in order to buy a birthday gift for her nephew. I wonder if her nephew would want a gift that was purchased with illegal drug money.

Williams and Ryan

Pair arrested after undercover cop answers Craigslist ad seeking prescription painkillers:

In St. Lucie, Florida police there arrested 27-year-old Aaron ‘Dubs’ Williams of Bridgeton, NJ and 18-year-old Toni Michelle Ryan of Elmer, NJ for allegedly trying to sell oxycodone on craigslist. Since this is hillbilly heroin we’re talking about I can tell you that the Bridgeton and Elmer parts of New Jersey are redneck sections of the state.

Anyway in the craigslist ad the super secret code of “blue 30′s” and “green 15′s” was used in offering the pills for sale. Police in st. Lucie County may have arrested the pair just for insulting their intelligence.

To all the craigslist drug dealers, the cops know all your codes. They arrest your type enough to know the lingo so how about not even trying.

And again this is what happens when a classifieds site is unmoderated but I’m sure you figured that out by now. Now only if craigslist would.

No illegal drugs for sale on Geebo.com.

Craigslist Leads Virginia ABC Special Agents to Moonshine Bust:

Further proving that you can find just about any illegal service or substance on craigslist the ABC in Virginia arrested Lee Joseph Chraska, 26, and Joseph Allen Chraska, 23, both of Woodbridge, Virgina, for producing moonshine.

It seems that the ABC noticed an ad on craigslist advertising a still for sale which led to the arrests.

Moonshine, while less prevalent than it used to be, is still illegal to be produced without a proper permit and of course paying the taxes.

You may think this is pretty comical, and it sort of is, this shows that an unmoderated classifieds site is just a magnet for all kinds of illegal activity.

No word if the arresting officer only had one bullet that he kept in his shirt pocket.

On Geebo.com all ads are reviewed and moderated.

Let’s make a deal: Pot for XBox:

Police in Butte County, *snicker* California arrested 24-year-old Sean Evans after he allegedly tried to exchange 2 ounces of weed for an Xbox on craigslist. Seems like a little lopsided deal to me.

Anyway this simple exchange uncovered a pretty substantial growing operation and that Evans was illegally supplying one of California’s many marijuana dispensaries. Police also discovered a shotgun along with a disabled 18-month-old baby on the premises.

Butte County Sheriff’s Deputy Doug Patterson had this to say about guys like Evans…

“It’s all under the guidelines of (Proposition 215),” Patterson said. “These are the type of people who are ruining it for that 1 percent who need their marijuana. These are the people who give the whole thing a black eye.”

Which goes to show that California’s medical marijuana program is nothing more than a joke.

No word on what ‘clever’ code words Evans may have used on his craigslist ad but obviously it wasn’t coded cleverly enough.

These ads do not appear on Geebo.com as they manually inspect every ad.

Dr. Joshua Baron

Cops: Doctor offered to trade prescriptions for sex:

Surprised Evil Spock over there is 37-year-old Dr. Joshua Baron of Oak Park, IL. He was arrested by police in Wilmette, IL after they allegedly found an ad on craigslist that offered prescription pills in exchange for sex. I was unable to find out what kind or prescription drugs were being offered but I’m guessing they weren’t antibiotics. I was also unable to find out what the ad said as well. I’m dying to know how the good doctor allegedly code worded the ad.

Anyway police in Wilmette responded to the ad where Dr. Baron allegedly mentioned exchanging the drugs for sex and arrested him at the exchange point.

Dr. Baron is a pediatric neurologist.

Again it doesn’t take a stretch of the imagination to figure out what section of craigslist the ad was placed on. Since sex is involved I would imagine it would be the casual encounters section. You’d think someone who is smart enough to be a neurologist would be smart enough to realize that cops read craigslist too.

Also once again it shows what happens when a site is not moderated by it’s administrators. It becomes a black market where they rely on police to patrol it for them. And since it is unmoderated the ad was obviously not flagged because again the people who are using these sections of craigslist are looking for something illegal themselves usually.

Geebo.com has always been moderated and always will be.

Theresa Janelle Jones

‘Green Christmas’ not what it seems:

Police in Austin, Texas arrested 21-year-old Theresa Janelle Jones after they read the following ad on craigslist…

“Typical Texas Christmas, not a flake of snow. If you ask me, the more green the merrier. I did some mowing today, plenty to spread around. Happy Holidays.”

Of course Austin police made undercover contact with Jones and busted her for selling weed.

I know no dope dealers read this site so I’m confident they won’t see this when I say no matter how carefully coded you think your craigslist ad is, it isn’t and cops do read craigslist. Also once again this shows what goes on when craigslist refuses to moderate their site.

Pauline Wiltshire

Med Student Nabbed In Adderall Scheme:

B’klyn yuppie ‘pills ring’ nailed:

Maybe Someone Should Have Wondered Why That Stripper/Doctor Needed Thousands and Thousands of Adderall Pills:

30-year-old Pauline Wiltshire of Brooklyn, New York was arrested recently for her role in an Adderall trafficking ring. Wiltshire is a former stripper according to some reports who is now, or was at least, studying medicine. It seems that she allegedly took to selling the ADD drug Adderall on craigslist to support her boyfriend’s gambling habit.

The boyfriend in question is one Dr. Michael H. Gabriel, an anesthesiologist in residency. Reports say that Gabriel had a fondness for gambling in the casinos of the town of my childhood, Atlantic City. In order to support his habit Gabriel would write prescriptions for Adderall to his girlfriend who would then get them filled and sell them on craigslist and other online venues. Supposedly one of Adderall’s ‘off label’ uses is that increases sex drive.

Wiltshire’s sister, Sarah Wiltshire Larkin, may have also had a hand in the operation as she is believed to have communicated with DEA agents in setting up a buy.

The ring is said to have sold somewhere between 6,000 and 11,000 of the pills.

Again this is just another story of how the community policing of craigslist does not work or else they would have not been able to sell so many of the pills illegally. And once again the reason behind that is the kind of clientele that a free and unmoderated classifieds site gets is the kind that doesn’t want to police ads and is looking for illicit substances or activities.

This kind of ad would never fly on Geebo.com since all ads are moderated there.

Man, seeking sex via Craigslist ad, busted on prostitution, drug charges:

Just because adult services may be gone doesn’t mean that crime is gone from craigslist. Take 29-year-old Casey Curtiss of Bridgeport, Conn. for example. He placed an ad on craigslist that police say was offering ecstasy pills in exchange for sex.

According to the police report, the ad was seen by Westport Det. Jillian Cabana on Sept. 1. It read: “Rolling tonight, would love a lady friend or friends if you have them and they want to ROLL with all expenses paid!!!! If ur interested email a pic. Will bring you to ectasy and back!!!!”

Female undercover officers met with Curtiss and arrested him when he allegedly produced the pills. Curtiss claims he was just looking to have a good time obviously forgetting that ecstasy is still illegal. He’s been charged with two counts of patronizing a prostitute, possession of a controlled substance and sale of a narcotic.

Apparently all that rolling must have deteriorated his brain for him not to realize that police read craigslist too.

Police Log: Craigslist Ad For Booze:

Sometimes you have to admire the ingenuity of small town criminals if they weren’t small town criminals.

For example an enterprising high school student from Marblehead, Mass. placed the following ad on craigslist…

“I am a high school student with a car and a Fake ID, I can help you get booze, call or text 781-XXX-XXXX.”

Again a criminal not realizing that other people do read craigslist and sometimes call the police.

Loophole Used To Sell Medical Marijuana Cards:

Who thought that….

A….medical marijuana in Denver would be abused?

B…phony medical marijuana certificates would be sold on craigslist?

C. All of the above.

Look, I’m all for legitimate medical marijuana use, for example cancer patients and other serious illnesses, however you’re not fooling anybody when you say you need it for ‘anxiety’.

Don’t want to get ticketed or arrested? Then don’t use it if you don’t have a real need for it.
