Man charged with sex abuse after 14-year-old boy responds to Craigslist:

Tom Malenya accused of using Craigslist to lure teen for sex:

41-year-old Tom Lusuli Malenya of Silver Springs, Maryland has been charged with allegedly having sex (child rape) with a 14-year-old boy that he met over craigslist. Malenya is said to have posted an ad on craigslist seeking sex with other men. So basically he was another guy cruising for anonymous gay sex on craigslist. I have nothing against gay people having sex. I just find it creepy when anyone of any sexual preference trolls craigslist for hook ups.

Anyway a 14-year-old boy responded to his ad and police say that they had sex. When the boy’s mom found out she posed as the boy on his phone and had the following text exchange with Malenya…

She said “what R we going to do?”

According to court documents, he said: “Shower, kiss, cuddle, and (expletive)”

“Why do u like me?” she continued. And he responded: “you are sexy.”

At that point the mother turned things over to police who continued to text him…

Turning the Craigslist case over to Metropolitan police, a detective posed as the boy. Texting Malenya, he asked: “what do you like best about me?

He responded: “The Shower we had together,” according to documents.

The undercover officer mentioned the boy’s age, and Frank allegedly responded, “Are you 14?”

When the undercover detective asked whether that was OK, the man responded “As long as you don’t tell anyone is cool,” charging documents said.

That’s pretty much you need to know about that. And anyone who says the kid set him up is an idiot. Malenya had to know the boy’s approximate age and obviously didn’t care. 14-year-old boys, especially those who may be shy about their sexual orientation, are not sitting around thinking how they can set up older men on craigslist. If you honestly think that you’re a moron.

This case highlights three issues in my opinion. The first is that kids that maybe just realizing their gay in their teens have few places to turn to in society since an admission of that at that age may result in several bad reactions from the less enlightened ranging from being kicked out by their parents or being severely bullied at school. So instead we have an alarming number of teens turning to places like craigslist looking for acceptance when the creeps on craigslist are just looking for a piece of young tail.

The second is that parents are still allowing their kids to roam the internet unsupervised. As I’ve said many times before no 14-year-old needs to be on craigslist. Since the downfall of MySpace it has been the go to place for online predators.

Lastly it shows that craigslist needs to moderate the personals and casual encounters sections as obviously the community policing they rely so much is about as worthless as a screen door in a submarine.

Craigslist is still not cleaned up folks and won’t be until they moderate their site.

Illinois craigslist creeper looking for ‘fathers willing to share their daughters’

Cops: Man sought fathers on Craigslist ‘willing to share their daughters’:

Sheriffs in Will County, Illinois arrested 25-year-old Brandon J. Bergthold for allegedly seeking children for sex on craigslist. Investigators say that Bergthold posted an ad on craigslist looking for “fathers willing to share their daughters.” I would imagine that this would have been in the casual encounters section.

Luckily the person that responded to his ad was an undercover investigator with the Cook County Sheriff’s Child Exploitation Unit. If you’ll remember correctly the Cook County Sheriff’s Department is no fan of craigslist. Anyway the investigator set up a meeting with Bergthold posing as a father willing to give his 6-year-old daughter to Bergthold so he could have sex (child rape) with the girl. Investigators say that he pursued this meeting aggressively. He was also hoping to have sex with the imaginary girl’s imaginary 11-year-old cousin.

Bergthold allegedly told police he was also addicted to child porn so more charges may be coming.

As I’ve said before if one man is arrested for trying to get a parent to prostitute their child out to any pedophile then there are probably more people on craigslist who are getting away with it. But still craigslist refuses to monitor their site and still relies on ‘community policing’. When your community consists of pedophiles and predators don’t expect a lot of policing to occur.

Craigslist sex case co-defendant sentenced to 25 years in prison:

One of the worst craigslist sex crimes I’ve posted about was the sex ring out of Newberg, Oregon that not only involved animals but also children as young as 4. Previously the ringleader, Darrin Daily, was sentenced to 40 years which of course doesn’t seem near enough. Now his cohort, Robert Thompson has also been sentenced.

Thompson was not only convicted for his role in the ring but also for trying to arrange a hit on one of their teenage victims. So what did Mr. Dead Behind The Eyes get? Only 25 years.

We’re talking about children being forced to have sex with animals here. Something that depraved should at least get an automatic life sentence without parole. In a perfect world it would result in execution. He could have been sentenced to 40 years but for some reason the judge took leniency on him. Leniency for a guy who gets off on kids and dogs having sex.

Not only does this show what’s still wrong with craigslist but also our justice system in general.

Richard Beasley charged with Ohio craigslist killings

Adult in Ohio Craigslist case charged with murder:

This past Friday 52-year-old Richard Beasley was indicted for the craigslist murders of Ralph Geiger, David Pauley, and Timothy Kern. Beasley is accused of posting a phony craigslist ad for employment at a nonexistent ranch then killing the perspective applicants when they showed up.

The indictment states that Beasley was allegedly the triggerman in all 3 murders and the attempted murder of Scott Davis who was able to escape his assailant.

Beasley was being held on drug and prostitution charges while investigators worked on the murder charges.

His alleged accomplice, 16-year-old Brogan Rafferty, has been charged as an adult.

Prosecutors will be seeking the death penalty for Beasley.

Man questioned in Jaymie Adams homicide investigation:

Another search warrant recently made public states that Oklahoma City investigators questioned a man who claims to have contacted Jaymie Adams through craigslist in regards to her alleged prostitution. Police say the man contacted Jaymie through both email and cellphone on December 9th but never made face to face contact with her.

Now some people may think I’m trying to disrespect the name and memory of Jaymie Adams but that is not true. I want nothing more to see her killer brought to justice if she was murdered. My point of making this post is to show that there appears to be credence of her husband’s claim that she was a craigslist prostitute which means that her killer could be anybody.

When Megan Waterman disappeared I assumed like many people did that her boyfriend/pimp had something to do with it. It later turned out that she was a victim of the yet to be caught Long Island serial killer.

Not to mention that this shows that prostitution and trafficking are still happening on craigslist and that they need to better moderate their site to help prevent crimes like this from happening in the future.

Akron man charged with trying to meet young girls for sex:

Man pleads not guilty for posting family sex ad on Craigslist:

For those of you who still think that craigslist is some kind of hippy love fest where no gets hurt not only should you pull your head out of your ass but this story should just be one of many that should change your mind about that.

The Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force noticed an ad on craigslist that was entitled ‘Mother-Daughter, Father-Son Taboo.’ For those of you who may not know the lingo that means that the poster of the ad was more than likely looking for a parent that was more than willing to sell their kids for sex. At least that’s what the alleged poster of the ad, 24-year-old Timothy Rogers of Akron, was hoping.

Investigators in Cleveland set up a sting where they say Rogers was looking to meet with a father who had two daughters, ages 6 and 12, that Rogers was going to have sex with. Thankfully the father was actually an investigator with the ICAC and Rogers was arrested.

Now like I’ve said before if one person has been arrested for wanting to meet a parent so he could have sex with their kids that means it is going on in other locations through craigslist. Yet craigslist still refuses to monitor the personals and casual encounters sections where these crimes take place.

Is this the classifieds site you really want to use?

Police arrest man in Craigslist sting:

Police in Huntington Beach, California have arrested another would be predator from the pages of craigslist.

This time it was 35-year-old Oscar Pinedo of Santa Ana, California. Pinedo allegedly thought that he was going to pay to have sex with a 13-year-old girl that he arranged through craigslist. Pinedo was said to have been told the girl’s age repeatedly but he didn’t seem to mind. Pinedo was arrested at the pre-arranged meeting place.

Once again this shows that craigslist is far from being cleaned up. Just think for every creep that’s arrested think of how many are on craigslist who haven’t been caught.

I’m sad that I have to post that the body of 25-year-old Jaymie Adams was found on Saturday. The pregnant mother of 4 went missing in December. Her husband has said that she worked as a craigslist prostitute and went to meet a client when she went missing. He also said that they were craigslist swingers.

My prayers and condolences go out to the friends and family of Jaymie Adams.

OKC Police: Lie Detector Test Shows Husband Of Missing Woman ‘Deceptive’:

In a recently released search warrant police say that Jaymie Adams’ husband, Justin Adams, was found to be deceptive on a polygraph test but we’ll get to that in a minute.

As you may know the pregnant mother of four went missing in Oklahoma City in December. Her husband recently came out through his attorney and said that his wife was a craigslist prostitute and went to meet a client. The search warrant elaborates on that a little.

According to the search warrant, Adams contacted police on December 11 and told officers he had not been completely honest. He informed them his wife had actually gone to a motel in Norman to meet a client she’d met on the website Craig’s List. Justin told police his wife advertised her services as a massage therapist, but he said she also engaged in prostitution and had sex with clients across the metro.

Justin told police his wife texted him just before midnight on December 9 to say she was meeting a different client at the McDonald’s in Midwest City. He said he later received a text from Jaymie that the client did not show up.

What I really want to talk about is that in the warrant it states that Justin Adams said that he and his wife were craigslist swingers who would meet other couples on craigslist for sex. To me this is important for two reasons. The first is a lot of times when couples claim to be swingers on craigslist what is really going on is that the husband is prostituting his wife. The second is if they really were swingers that could add a lot of names to a list of possible suspects. Group sex can be a tricky thing with one party becoming obsessed with a member of the second party and jealousy can lead to some very ugly acts.

Now back to the polygraph. According to the warrant police say that Justin Adams was being deceptive when asked if he knew of his wife’s whereabouts. That could just mean that Adams was trying to cover for his wife’s prostitution.

I’m not saying that Justin Adams had something to do with his wife disappearance or didn’t, yet. However what I am saying is that her disappearance shows that the underbelly of craigslist is still a dangerous place and obviously prostitution and trafficking are still occurring.

Pregnant Blanchard mother’s disappearance being treated as homicide investigation:

I originally posted about Jaymie Adams here. She is the 26-year-old pregnant mother of four who went missing in Oklahoma City on December 10th. Through an attorney her husband has stated that she worked as a craigslist prostitute and believes that is what led to her disappearance.

Police in Oklahoma City are now treating her disappearance as a homicide investigation. This does not necessarily mean that police believe that she is dead. It means that if her disappearance does turn out to be a murder then homicide investigators are already ahead of the game.

Now I’m sure some of you out there probably believe that the husband is probably involved due to his possibly suspicious behavior. To you I say wait until more information becomes available. While spouses are usually the most logical suspect when someone disappears if she was working as a craigslist prostitute that widens the suspect list a lot. It could be anywhere from a former pimp to a random john.

And another thing. I’m sure a lot of you think that why are resources being wasted on some missing hooker. To you I say no matter what this woman did she is still a mother of four children and is carrying a fifth. She also has a family who want to see her safely returned. So instead of being a judgmental ass how about taking a look at the above poster to see if you can help or at least offer her family your support or assistance on their facebook page.

And if she was working as a craigslist prostitute it shows that prostitution and human trafficking is still occurring on craigslist even though most media outlets have forgiven them since they removed the erotic services section. I, on the other hand, am not so gullible and will never let the public forget.
