Win it. Wear it. Share it. Round 10

Before we get into today’s contest It’s time to announce last week’s winner. That would be MamaLisa for this epic comment

Ah, CraigsList, how do I count the ways? The reasons I boycott you? At first, it was simply because it was so hard to find what I wanted, such a pain to drill down, and so many of the ads didn’t even have photos — requiring me to call them or email or something. It just looked smarmy to me. I much preferred to do my shopping on eBay, where I could see a seller’s performance rating. I loved the ability to “watch” items, and it was so much easier to find the best price. So, poor usability and no way to judge the sellers before buying were my two main reasons for never using CraigsList.

Fast forward a few years, and I started hearing so many stories about criminals using CraigsList to find their next victims. I thought, “Ewww. I always new it was creepy. I knew it smelled bad.” And then, the sex crimes and sex trafficing reports started, and quickly started snowballing. The robberies and other such reports also seem to be snowballing, while Craig and his protege do nothing but cover their own asses.

I find it serendipitous that you mention the start of “Erotic Services” coincides with Buckner’s appointment as CEO. I am not one to judge people by their looks, but when you couple Buckner’s slimy sidestepping, dodging, and blame-shifting of the child trafficking issue with his creepy, sinister appearance — well, let me say, I have a feeling that Buckner is no stranger to the Sex Trade.

I will proudly wear my t-shirt, and I will proudly point people to CraigsCrimeList.com when they ask me why I wear the shirt. I’m sure a more than a few folks will say, “but it’s free! It’s great! I don’t have to pay to sell!” To them I will say, “Ask the young girls that are sold for sex on Craig’s List how free it truly is.”

It’s craigscrimelist.org but I’ll overlook it. But what a great comment.

But now on to this week’s contest which is the same as it has been.

Today is your chance to win a free craigscrimelist t-shirt emblazoned with the motto “Friends don’t let friends use craigslist.” But…wait for it…only one is being given away this week.

As before the rules are simple. Please comment on this post why you are boycotting craigslist or why you don’t use craigslist in the first place or why you think it’s a bad idea to use craigslist.

Please use the e-mail address you would like to be contacted at in the e-mail address field.

If you have entered before and have not won you can enter on this and future posts as well.

This contest will end 8pm Eastern Time next Monday (9/6/2010) but there will be more chances to win shirts in the coming weeks.

Take a stand. Do the right thing. And you might win a shirt in the process.

It also wouldn’t hurt if you could Tweet this post or put in on Facebook.

I feel that craigscrimeleist.org is providing an excellent service to educate the general public of the hidden aspects of Craig’s List. It is haven for criminals and monsters. Anyone who can condone or not stop the actions of the people to facilitate the crimes that are committed via the Craig List are morally reprehensible. I also feel that a shirt worn on my 42-G body will receive ample attention and I will direct anyone who asks to this Website to judge for themselves. Once anyone reads the articles here; they will realize that Craig’s List is not what it appears to be. And unlike so many situations in our society today; at least craigscrimelist.org offers a solution at Geebo.com.

Wheeee! Thanks, Trench, and I can’t wait for my t-shirt! I may tie-dye it, or add beadwork :) And I just an article with the headline, “CraigsList removes adult services section.” Here the twin freaks go again — they haven’t removed anything for the rest of the world. Like human trafficking and the sex trade are only in the US?

Love this one — I was watching Street Court yesterday, and a lady was suing a man because he ripped her off when she purchased a kitchen island from him, on Guess Where? You know it! CraigsList! The judge did not have nice things to say about using Craigslist. Among other things, he said, “That was your first mistake!”

So even if The Freaky Boys have agreed to block the Adult Services Section from the US, there are still all those pesky little criminals trolling CraigsList for their next victims to rob, rape, or murder, and then there are all the CraigsList scammers, placing fake ads to rob people of their money.

CraigsList is still a joke. And not a very funny one at that.

My wife watches a lot of those court shows and she’s always amazed at how many of the cases stem from craigslist.

I think this is just a show put on by Craigslist so they can play the innocent victim of “big brother.” Unfortunately, I feel it’s just as Trench said, a publicity stunt. I’ve heard rumors that the adult postings just moved to other sections of the site anyway. I don’t doubt it. Clearly, the biggest problem on Craigslist is the human trafficking element, but there are so many scams and cons over there, it’s unreal. Try renting a house or apartment from an ad there and you’ll see what I mean. Half the properties aren’t even for rent. Property management companies have come up with a new way to bilk people out of money via Craigslist. They take out an ad for a rental property then charge each applicant between $40 and $100 for a background check that costs $10. The place is a cesspool.
