Win it. Wear it. Share it.

For a limited time, we are handing out one FREE “Friends don’t let friends use Craigslist” t-shirt each and every day.

To get yours, all you have to do is leave a comment to tell me, in specific detail, why YOU are protesting Craigslist. I will choose my favorite comment each day, and send off a t-shirt to the lucky winner.

Don’t forget to include your email address. (It won’t show up on the site, but I need it in order to let you know if you’ve won.)

Start a movement: tell your friends on Twitter and Facebook to come get their free t-shirt too!

I am protesting craigslist because of their laxity in protecting not only people but animals. Their track record of people getting scammed for animals is horrible but really people need to realize craigslist is not for animals and not for hooking up it was a precursor for freecycling gone madly out of control.

Call me a skeptic if you will, but I prefer overly-cautious. Growing up with a policeman for a father, coupled with my interest in crime shows and the fact that I actually do read newspapers, has turned me into someone who doesn't really trust the unknown. Not to say that I am a perpetual scaredy-cat, but I don't feel the need to put myself into a potentially dangerous position. As a single mother to a toddler, I don't need to worry about whether or not the person I wish to obtain merchandise from will leave my child without a parent. That's why they make stores and reputable service and merchandise websites.

[just in case posting it in the wrong place didn't disqualify me :) ]

I'm boycotting Craigslist because, after reading all the shit that happens via craigslist ads (mostly from articles linked on your site), then reading the "adult encounters" (out of morbid curiosity… and ew.), then reading some of the "Rants" and thinking "Wow, these are the kind of people that spend time using Craigslist", the thought of having any of those people come to my home to pick up that extra sofa, the old crib, etc. scares the shit out of me. Also, I've come to the conclusion that I'd probably be better off going through an agency for a job search than Craigslist, considering the economy, the desperation of people to find work, and the number of people out there who would be quick to take advantage of that situation.

I am protesting craigs list due to the vast number of ads which are related to human trafficking. I know the contest is over, however, I still support the cause, and believe more people should!
