Maine AG warns of craigslist rental scam

Maine AG warns of Internet rental scam:

Maine’s Attorney General, Janet Mills (pictured), is warning her constituents of the rental scam that we see all the time on craigslist. You know the one. It’s the one where a property listed for rent isn’t really for rent and you end up wiring money to people on Nigeria who don’t even own the property. If craigslist removed anonymity for its users that may eliminate the Nigerian scams altogether but once again I digress.

No word on if the Nigerians in this scam claimed to be Christian missionaries or working on an oil rig.
