Back in November 48-year-old Bob Tombo was shot and killed in a Miami parking lot. Now it’s being released that Mr. Tombo was trying to sell a Rolex on craigslist when he was killed.
A man shot and killed him at point blank range and took off with the watch.
20-year-old Brandon Jefferson (pictured) has been arrested in connection with the murder. Jefferson was allegedly the man who talked to Mr. Tombo on the phone and lured him to the parking lot. However he claims he was not the shooter who is still at large.
Off the top of my head I believe this brings the number of craigslist related murders up to 10.
Congratulations Jim. The body count from your website is at least in double digits now.

Southfield, Michigan man was beat up for his Xbox that he thought he was selling to a craigslist buyer.
Again craigslist giving a voice to anonymous crazies everywhere. Like the New York City crazies needed an outlet.

Frank McCann of Gainesville, Florida allegedly posted an ad on craigslist seeking models for an ‘exercise video’.
A 21-year-old woman responded to the ad and met McCann in a public place with a few friends. Good for her for taking precautions.
She got a bad vibe from the get go. McCann only identified himself as Frank and gave the woman an address to meet him at to film the video and she would get $300.
Being creeped out the woman checked the address that McCann allegedly provided and it came up on the sex offender registry.
Placing a craigslist ad is a violation of McCann’s parole so he was picked up by police.
McCann was convicted in Georgia in 2005 of false imprisonment, lewd and lascivious molestation of a victim age 12 to 15 and sexual performance of a child (possessing a photo or picture).
So it sounds like to me he molested a kid, possibly recorded it, and barely did any time for it. So where did he go to possibly find new victims? Craigslist of course.
And who actually watches exercise videos anymore?

The fake check/wire money scam has reared it’s ugly head in Spruce Grove, Alberta on the eBay owned Kijiji.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard eBay issue a comment about the crimes being perpetrated on their craigslist competitor. By the way eBay is actually part owner of craigslist.
