Craigslist assailant gets 18-year term:

I originally posted about Kelvin Cousar here. He was arrested back in May of last year for shoving a gun into the mouth of a craigslist hooker and making her perform what was then called an ‘oddly grotesque’ act.

This past week he was sentenced to 18 years behind bars for his actions.

I don’t know what the grotesque act was but it must have been pretty bad for the judge to say this…

“The crimes committed on [the victim] were crimes against human dignity. Your wife may have forgiven you, but society does not,”

You hear that craigslist? You have people on your site using it to commit crimes against human dignity. When are you going to own up to the social responsibility you claim to have?

Bruised toddler home alone in locked closet:

Mom who left son in closet advertised herself as an escort:

The lady over there with the curious blemishes on her face is 21-year-old Corinna Davis of Mesa, Arizona.

A West Mesa Justice Court constable was serving an eviction notice on the residence however no one appeared to be home. However the constable found a chair wedged up against a door. when he removed the chair he found a 2-year-old boy on a mattress in the closet.

Davis claims the boy was in there while she ‘worked’. Her work seems to be as an ‘escort’ that advertises on the Village Voice Media owned backpage.com. She must not have been too good at that job since she was being evicted or maybe the money went somewhere else.

Do you think that sore is from meth or the herp?

By the way you wouldn’t think that the 2-year-old locked in a closet is a victim of the victimless crime would you?

Rochester man charged with selling marijuana shipped in from California:

Not guilty plea entered in pot-for-guitar trade:

First off save your ‘Legalize it’ diatribes because as of right now it’s illegal so deal with it.

In Phelps, NY 40-year-old Leonardo D. Gaskin and 17-year-old Devonte White were arrested for selling marijuana on craigslist after getting it shipped to them from a California dispensary.

In Chino, California 62-year-old Joel Kelly Castle was arrested for trading weed for a guitar through craigslist.

So illegal transactions were being made on craigslist and the community policing didn’t catch them?

I’m shocked. No…that’s not the word. What’s the opposite of shocked? Oh yeah, not shocked at all.

Bartender accused of soliciting 13-year-old:

Police in Huntington Beach, California have captured another alleged child predator on craigslist using the exact same tactic if not the exact same ad.

This time it was 27-year-old Gabriel Preto who responded to an ad where he thought he was going to pay for sex with a 13-year-old girl. And just like the last time the girl was in fact the Huntington Beach PD.

Hopefully the Huntington Bach police will keep taking dangerous craigslist predators like this off the streets.

Now if only the courts would keep them behind bars.

Brea man charged with attempted lewd act with teen:

Yet another child predator fished out of the craigslist sewers.

In Huntington Beach, California police arrested 25-year-old Venson Magbojos Villapando for allegedly setting up a meeting with a 13-year-old girl over craigslist in order to have sex with her.

Villapando was allegedly going to pay the girl $100 for sex.

Guess who the girl really was. That’s right, the Huntington Beach PD.

More ads that are being missed by craigslist’s ‘community policing’.

Sex offender pleads guilty in kids’ case:

Canada, I know you have a reputation to maintain as the friendly polite country but do you really have to extend that to child molesters?

Case in point, the story of 40-year-old Daryl Koluk of Hamilton, Ontario. In 2001 he was sentenced to a mere 6 months for sexually abusing children. He was already on the sex offender registry when he took an ad out on the eBay owned Kijiji last year advertising help cleaning his apartment. So who answered the ad? A 12-year-old boy and his two friends, that’s who.

You know I’m all about teaching kids the value of a dollar, or in this case a Loonie, but who the hell lets their kids go clean the apartment of some stranger from a website?

Anyway, Koluk offered the kids more money of they would lay on his bed. One of the boys agreed and Koluk gave him oral sex for $40. It happened four more times as well earning the victim $200. And oh yeah, they did this in front of the other kids.

Police found a picture of one of the victims who was 11 and I quote shown in bondage gear, with a ball stuffed in his mouth, a steel collar around his neck and his body tied up with rope.”

Koluk pleaded guilty to child molestation charges and what do you think he got for his troubles? He was sentenced to only four years in prison.

Now I’m not usually one to believe in conspiracies but why do these ridiculously short sentences keep getting handed out to dangerous child molesters. Is it maybe because this kind of wretched behavior goes on within the walls of the private lives of government officials and they don’t want to damn themselves to a long prison term? And I don’t just mean Canada either. It also goes on in the US, the UK, Australia and most of the so called civilized world.

These types of officials should be investigated but to coin a cliche who watches the watchmen?

Man charged with attempted child rape in Internet sting:

I’m beginning to think that MySpace and craigslist are now neck and neck for the number of sexual predators among their ranks. As a matter of fact craigslist may have even pulled ahead in the race with no winners.

46-year-old Erik Allyn Brisbin was arrested by Lewis County Sheriff’s Office in Washington on attempted child rape charges.

He was nabbed in a sting where the sheriffs posed on craigslist as a mother pimping out her 13-year-old daughter.

The article doesn’t say but I would imagine they didn’t have to wait long.

Here’s a snippet from the ad…

“times are still tight and have expenses to pay. Anyone DDF [drug and disease free] who likes a hot mom and a hot younger daughter hit us up,”

If I read that I would automatically think that is at least some kind of offer of prostitution.

The article doesn’t say if craigslist actually worked with police or not but if they didn’t how did the ad get through craigslist’s ‘screening process’ or ‘community policing’?

Probation revoked for sex offender:

I posted about Hawaiian sex offender Harrison Mew before. He was known back in the 80′s as the Kahala Panty Burglar.”

He was also found recently to be on craigslist under a false name advertising for female “roomates”.

Now Mew has had his probation revoked and has been sent back to prison for five years. Not near long enough for a sexual predator like Mew but even in Hawaii a prison Is still a prison.

Mother, Daughter Take Plea Deal In Internet Prostitution Case:

The California mother-daughter craigslist hooker team of Katherine Silvers and Sarah Sunshine have entered into a plea deal with prosecutors that will spare them jail time.

They were sentenced to two years of probation and a fine of $381 each.

That will teach them by giving them a fine they could make in an hour and a half.

If the courts were serious about curbing prostitution they would levy much larger fines.

Arrest made in alleged Harwich rape, victim met attacker on Craigslist:

Wow, that is one creepy ass mugshot. Don’t click on it. You won’t be able to handle the large version.

Anyway creepy ass dude is yet another alleged craigslist rapist that constantly seem to be coming out of the woodwork. He is 21-year-old Douglas Clark of South Harwich, Mass.

He’s accused of raping a woman he met on craigslist in the early morning hours of January 8th.

Yet he’s only being held on $5,000 bail.

Um, that’s not a lot of bail for an alleged rapist.

Again craigslist says it’s not there problem.

How long will it take for crimes like these to continue to go on unabated on craigslist until it becomes a complete PR nightmare for them?
