34 arrested in craigslist prostitution sting:

Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County, Florida is my 2nd favorite sheriff next to Sheriff Joe out in Arziona. Sheriff Judd pulled absolutely no punches with the press when talking about the suspects in the infamous Victoria Lindsay beating.

So it should come as no surprise that he’s gone after craigslist prostitution in his jurisdiction.

In an sting dubbed Operation Hot Date undercover detectives contacted women that had taken out the $10 ads in the adult services section of craigslist. Let’s take a look at some of the women that responded to their requests…

One woman was dropped off by her 19-year-old daughter and her husband of 20 years. At least two were pregnant.

One prostitute came from a previous prostitution job, took a shower and was setting an appointment for her next job in Lake County, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.

Classy.

All in all 34 men and women were arrested in the sting. I am not going to name them all.

So at least in Polk County the mystery screenings by craigslist are obviously still not effective. But let’s see what craigslist has to say…

“Adult service ads on craigslist are dwarfed in volume, and tame in content, compared to other central Florida advertising venues that have not adopted craigslist’s strict review standards,” the company said in an emailed statement to the Tribune. “It would be surprising if the Sheriff has chosen to ignore the larger and much more explicit adult service advertising venues operating throughout his jurisdiction.”

Like I’ve said it’s obvious their ‘strict review standards’, that no one knows how they work, still aren’t working. Maybe if you removed adult services Sheriff Judd would move on to the other venues.

Sheriff Judd has a warning for guys who use hookers in his county too.

Detectives have the contact books and cell phones of the prostitutes they arrested, and they’ll be contacting former customers, Judd said.

“And for those of you who are married, it will be certainly a surprise for your wife,” Judd said.

I better there are some husbands shitting bricks right now and some divorce lawyers who are salivating.
