I would never recommend doing business on craigslist. However I did have the opportunity to try out a new service that is supposed to make doing business on craigslist a little safer.
TrustMe.com is an identity verification service that not only shows that you’re an actual person but can also be used to make sure that a buyer is an actual person too and not a thief or worse.
Now I am a master of filling out online accounts with false information. However I threw all of my tricks at it including the kitchen sink and I could not fool them.
The only thing I didn’t like about it is that the some of the information process seemed kind of Big Brother-ish and some people may feel uncomfortable giving that information.
All in all TrustMe.com gets the highly sought Trench Reynolds seal of approval.
UPDATE: Here is a link to a free TrustMe.com sign up for CCL readers.
