Local “craigslist” Robbery:

Tyrone Allen of Hamilton County, Ohio is accused of robbing a ‘masseuse’ that he met through craigslist. Here’s a tip to would be robbers. Prostitutes, escorts, and the like will call the cops on your ass and not think twice about. They’re more concerned about their stuff then spending a night in jail.

Monroe County Prostitution Arrests:

61-year-old Gary Bowman of Penfield, New York was arrested for running a prostitution ring. The ring allegedly ran from January to June of this year advertising on both craigslist and backpage. More than likely he went to backpage after craigslist went through ‘the change’. Don’t worry, I’ve been keeping an eye on backpage as well. I’m sure we’ll be hearing more from them in the future.

Prostitution charge in Craigslist sex ring:

37-year-old Hye Yeun Bang and 42-year-old John Lanza were both arrested in Ramapo, new Jersey and charged with running prostitution rings that happened to have advertised on craigslist. No word on when the investigation started.

Nigerian scammers use Craigslist to rent out homes they don’t own:

It seems that some people in Rhode Island have fallen for the fake rental scam on craigslist. The alleged scammer gave his name as ‘charlesburger’. He claimed he was renting out a property because he was doing business in West Africa. Here’s a thought. Why doesn’t craigslist block Nigerian IP addresses? Are the Nigerian scammers that sophisticated that they use proxies? And where can I get a charlesburger? I’m kind of hungry.

Police: Henrico man used Craigslist to lure women to his home:

68-year-old David M. Fuller of Henrico County, Virginia was arrested for placing ad on craigslist looking for a home health care aide. That’s not the illegal part. The illegal part is that he would allegedly whip it out when perspective applicants would show up to his house. Fuller had been flagged before on craigslist but that obviously didn’t stop him from getting back on…or getting off as the case may be.
