craigslist beating victim says no deal for suspects

Man Left For Dead Doesn’t Want Deal For Suspects:

I’ve previously posted about Michael Cafarella. He was the man from Thornton, Colorado who was beaten and left for dead after answering a craigslist ad for some dog kennels he wanted to purchase.

As I’ve also said before Michelle Huddleston, Christopher Preston and Joseph Daniel Jackson have all been arrested for this assault.

It seems that the D.A. wants to cut a deal with the suspects but Mr. Cafarella wants no parts of that.

“The DA called me, he wants to know if I’m willing to take a plea bargain,” Cafarella said. “I’m not willing to take a plea bargain. I think they deserve 15 years at least.”

Cafarella vowed not to miss a single court appearance in his case. Thornton police said they are still working the case and more arrests are possible.

Cafarella said he wakes up two to three times a night with nightmares.

I applaud Mr. Cafarella for not backing down. Too many deals are cut these days with criminals getting sentences that are way too light.

    I agree with the first comment, the so called victim has changed his story several times. Innocent until proven guilty, wait untill the trial before jumping to conclusions. This is America …………he does not look innocent to me. !

    Now what would your pic look like if you were arrested for attempted murdered. Would you be all smiles,happy go lucky or would you look distraught like her? And yes i know Michelle personally have known her for a long time and do not and will not believe that she tried to kill this person. :!:

    Yeah, I'm the victim. I set up this site 9 years ago knowing that one day I would be assaaulted by someone from craigslist. :roll:

    Nobody should have beaten this guy half to death. Now if he had a gun pointed at those people, then I'd say it was self defense on their part, but that was not the case in this matter.I don't care what the reason was, those people beat that man and left him for dead. They like all criminals should receive a HARSH sentence! You would have to be a WEAK , MINDED, LIBERAL, MAGGOTT to say any differently. Just think your type is the reason pedifiles, rapists, and murderers are walking among us, free as a bird.You are also the reason women are using abortion as birth control. Come on get some GUTS and stand up for what is right. Right and wrong is BLACK and WHITE. Don't get caught up in all the what-ifs????!!! This guy did not deserve to get beat up, if he was rude or insolent they should have asked him to leave or call the police for him, end of story!
