Grand Jury Indicts Suspect in Craigslist Shooting:

Do you remember the bizarre case of Willie Donaldson from Virginia? He’s the ex-marine who was arrested for shooting and killing 32-year-old Matthew Hicks after responding to a craigslist erotic services ad placed by Hicks and his girlfriend.

Donaldson claims the shooting was in self defense when Hicks allegedly tried to rob him and by the look of Donaldson’s mugshot that story may be true.

A judge last Friday threw out the charge but a grand jury indicted him on second degree murder charges on Monday. How does that work exactly?

Man says they robbed call girl to set her straight:

Self styled vigilantes Brad M. Self and Sean E. Boyle of the Spokane, Wash. area are facing trial for robbery. It’s alleged that they robbed a craigslist hooker to ‘set her straight’ The pair went through an overly elaborate scheme to set up a meeting with the woman including buying a pre-paid cell phone and using the code names Mr. Black and Mr. White taken from the movie Reservoir Dogs. Except there was no Mr. Black in the movie. He was on another job.

Self was having sex with her when Boyle stormed the room. After they robbed the woman of money and drugs they tossed the drugs and split the take of a whole $100 between themselves. They told her that she needed to clean up her life and that they would come back in a month if she didn’t change her ways. They even posted a message on craigslist warning people to stay away from the woman.

As with most criminals these vigilantes thought they were smarter than police which of course they weren’t or else you wouldn’t be reading about it here. Police traced their cell phone number to where it was purchased and saw Self on the store surveillance video.

Taking the law into your own hands is not only stupid but illegal. Robbing a criminal is still robbery. And if you’re going to pick secret vigilante names from a movie Boondock Saints is a better choice.
