SF: CRAIGSLIST COUNTERFEITER PLEADS GUILTY TO FORGERY:
craigslist has inadvertently helped bust a counterfeiter. 31-year-old Phi Vo of San Fransisco pleaded guilty to counterfeiting. He was originally noticed when he bought merchandise from a craigslist seller with counterfeit bills.
In that instance the seller reported it to police who in turn contacted the Secret Service.
Vo was found with $9,300 in counterfeit money — $1,300 in his pants pocket — during a traffic stop later that month, and was arrested on the counterfeiting charges June 20, prosecutors said.
It just goes to show you what kind of lowlifes are lurking on craigslist.
