Suspect shot during Craigslist sting:
A suspcet in a Vancouver, Washington fake check sting was shot in the arm after trying to run over a police officer. Police were trying to catch the man after he ripped off a man who sold a Nissan Xterra on craigslist. The suspect used a phony cashier’s check to pay the man.
The seller noticed the truck back up for sale and notified police who then set up a sting to apprehend the suspect. When the suspect tried to flee he struck the officer with the truck. An officer fired on the suspect hitting him the arm.
The victim said that the suspect got what he deserved and I agree. Heaven forfend that these scammers should actually do an honest day’s work. But again, cash only people.
