Broken Wii Leads Deputy to Alleged Thief Hiding in Closet:

Police in Kitsap, Washington arrested a Port Orchard man for being in possession of stolen goods and selling stolen property but that’s not the interesting part.

A man bought a Nintendo Wii from the suspect in a parking lot after seeing the console on sale on craigslist. When the buyer got it home the Wii was not working. The contact information for the suspect was fake but the buyer took down the suspect’s license plate number.

When police went to the house the suspect’s girlfriend said he wasn’t home but consented to a search. The suspect was found hiding in a closet. Turns out the Wii was stolen too. The suspect allegedly stole the Wii from a former friend then tried to pawn it off on craigslist when it busted.

Isn’t it amazing what the anonymity of craigslist allows?
